What the GCC Conclave says about where the work is going

Our CEO spent the day at The Economic Times Global Capability Centers Annual Conclave in Bangalore, where the conversation has clearly shifted. Capability centres are no longer being defended as a cost decision.

The interesting part was how consistent the framing was across the room. Centres that were set up to execute someone else's process are now expected to own outcomes, which changes what kind of tooling they need. You cannot own an outcome with software that waits for a human to drive it.

That is a fairly direct restatement of the thing we build for, so most of the day was spent listening rather than pitching.
